Finally, after an epic journey, we are able to support the original PlayStation! The HD Retrovision PS1 adapter converts the male 9-pin mini-DIN connector on the Genesis YPbPr cable to a male PlayStation 12-pin connector.
The specific list of known supported consoles can be found here. Though it may work with others that haven't been tested, it cannot be guaranteed.
Although the PlayStation 1 adapter will work with PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 consoles, RGB/SCART output needs to be enabled in the system menu and even then it can only operate properly in the standard definition video modes (240p/288p/480i/576i).
Additionally, the built-in DVD/Blu-ray Player application in these consoles is restricted from using RGB/SCART mode, so DVD/Blu-ray playback won't display properly when set to this mode.

NOTE: This product requires an HD Retrovision Genesis YPbPr Cable. It will not work with a SNES YPbPr cable.
Your television or display must be able to support "240p"video over YPbPr to use this product. You can easily test for this by following these steps
I use this with the Genesis YPbPr cable and the quality is very much improved on my 36" Toshiba CRT compared to the PSX composite cable. My only grip with it is the mini-DIN connection between the two. It's an extremely shallow connection and easy to partially/completely disconnect with any sort of movement. Nothing an few wraps of electrical tape won't fix, but considering the total price, it's disappointing.
Great quality video though.
The nostalgic bloom on text on composite, s-video is replaced with beautiful, sharp text. Color correction too. Enjoy!
