Open Box cables are in like-new condition and may not include the original packaging.
NOTE: If you have a Model 1 Genesis or Master System, you require an adapter to use this cable. That adapter is available for purchase separately
Genesis 3 owners: The Genesis 3 only outputs mono audio through the left channel, so it can be a bit tricky to hook up using the Genesis YPbPr cable. Leave the red (right) audio cable on the YPbPr cable disconnected, then take the white (left) audio cable and hook it up to the input of an RCA splitter (Y) cable such as this or this. Use the white and red split on the other end of the splitter to connect into your TV, audio system, or other device. This ensures that you receive the mono audio out of both speaker channels on your equipment.
Your television or display must be able to support "240p" video over YPbPr to use this product. Please test your specific equipment using this simple test procedure. This test should be run for each console with which you wish to use with the cables.
Two weeks have passed since I paid for the cable that seems to be in stock but it never actually shipped. Got a tracking number that shows nothing. Contacted transport company and they confirmed that seller did not ship anything. 3 times tried to contact support from rondoproducts and castlemania games as I need the cable as fast as possible and just want to cancel my order and try to order somewhere else where I can be sure that I am not left on my own and basically scammed at that point. Got no response from support at all. They ignore you completely, have fun ordering from rondo or castlemania
We all know these cables are GREAT so I don't think I am telling anybody that is into retro consoles anything new. But, if you are, these cables are the easiest way to connect many older game consoles that support RGB to your component connections on your CRT and experience clarity you only would have dreamt of back in the old days of the composite and s-video we used to use.
I use them personally with a early 2000's Sony Wega CRT, but you can also use these in conjunction with line doublers like the RetroTink devices to experience an amazing picture on your modern HDMI displays as well.
Rondo seems to always have them in stock when I need them and they ship quickly. I think I have 9 of these cables thus far!
High quality.
