This adapter converts the male 9-pin mini-DIN connector on the Genesis YPbPr cable to a male Saturn 10-pin mini-DIN connector.
HD Retrovision's specific list of known supported consoles can be found here. Though it may work with others we haven't tested, we cannot guarantee it.
NOTE: This product requires an HD Retrovision Genesis YPbPr Cable. It will not work with a SNES YPbPr cable.
Your television or display must be able to support "240p" video over YPbPr to use this product.
You can easily test for this by following these steps
Maybe it’s the nostalgia or my Saturn itself, but the composite on the US Saturn is pretty darn clean. Of course component is best, with its color correction and text clarity. You have a Saturn in 2025, treat it right with this video upgrade if you must. But even composite can suffice on the mighty Sega Saturn.

I don't have the Genesis 2 cable, just ordered the Genesis 2 to Sega Saturn port, since they were in stock. I would love to give a full review when I purchase the Genesis 2 component cable. I hope you get them in soon, because I'd love to experience my Sega Saturn to it's full potential. Nevertheless, the port seems to be of great quality, and thick cable, and well shielded.
saturn looks sharp and crispy
Saturn came with a crummy composite cable that looked like I was underwater looking at the TV, figured it might have something extra wrong with it til I got this adapter for my genny 2 hd retrovision cables. Image is clear as expected.
